Gary and Teri started their journey in search for quality handcrafted furniture for their home in New York. Hearing that Lancaster County has great craftsmen, they traveled and purchased a dining table set from a Lancaster County furniture store. Their experience was very positive that they returned to purchase a bedroom set several years later.
Other Stores Compromise Quality and Poor Customer Service
However, upon entering that showroom, they sensed something was different. The customer service was poor, salespeople not as knowledgeable and the furniture quality seemed to be less than what Teri remembered. Even after placing an order for a bedroom set, they continued to search for better quality handcrafted furniture.
Surely Lancaster County has better

Search for Quality
Teri searches the internet for other furniture stores in Lancaster County area. Someone who makes furniture and not just sells other manufactured furniture. A Google search “Custom Furniture” helped Teri find a furniture manufacturer on the far west side of Lancaster County, out in the cornfields.
Gary and Teri found Georges Furniture, where they could see the craftsmen making the furniture at the same place as two showrooms, displaying beautiful, handcrafted tables, chairs, beds, dressers, desks, entertainment centers and so much more. They worked with Anthony, craftsman and furniture designer, to bring their dream furniture design to reality.
Custom Designed Perfection
Many hours were spent deciding the many details of a Mission raised panel bed and 2 3-drawer nightstands. A couple of years later when Teri realized that the top of the nightstands needed to be wider, George’s craftsmen made larger tops for the night stand.
Another project was a trundle day bed. Anthony spent lots of time listening to Gary and Teri’s ideas to design a day bed that converts into a king size bed made with solid Hickory hardwood.
