Shop Foreman Bob Aungst has been with George’s Furniture for 32 years. Bob has always enjoyed the pleasures of woodworking, so when George’s Furniture offered him a job, he wanted to give it a try as a career.
Before Bob worked at George’s, his family used the meadow on the furniture business’s property to pasture their heifers. Bob and George got to know one another as Bob would come to the wood shop to collect shavings for his cattle bedding, as well as visiting the showroom that was located in Elizabethtown.
Bob’s favorite part of working for George’s Furniture is watching a piece of rough lumber transform into a beautiful piece of handmade furniture. His absolute favorite project was a specially designed raised panel rolltop desk.
In his free time, Bob enjoys gardening and hunting.
